Housing Summit Brings City Together

The Housing & Community Development Department of the City of Santa Fe hosted a Saturday retreat on April 5 to discuss affordable housing issues in the city different. Participants listened to overview presentations and then formed breakout groups to discuss specific issues related to the city’s housing plan. They reviewed their comments and the department’s proposals in the afternoon session.

Attendees represented all sectors of the the housing market and issue. Advocate groups included Habitat for Humanity and Homewise as well as St. Elizabeth’s Shelter. Realtors, developers and contractors also participated, giving the meeting a full range of opinions on the pressing issue of affordable housing in Santa Fe.
