The Complex is hosting a 3-credit course in software design beginning Saturday, February, 28. The class is a fully accredited undergraduate, upper division program through New Mexico Highlands University taught by Dave West, who has been a professor at NMSU, the College of Santa Fe, and the University of St. Paul in Minnesota.
Professor West’s focus areas are in design, objects, agility, modeling and architecture utilizing Smalltalk with Web tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, et al). This freeform class is project based. Anyone interested in working on a project at the Complex and earning college credit for that work is invited to enroll. High school students may enroll (some exposure to computing and programming is assumed).
Course Description:

Students will select from existing projects or define their own projects in areas ranging from agent-based modeling, to multi-media (game) programming, to Web-site development.
If you plan to work with Fabio’s group when they come to the Complex in March, you can earn college credit for your work by enrolling now. If you have a project that you are conducting at the Complex, or would be willing to undertake at the Complex, please let us know and help us recruit students to work with you.
