The Ignite movement comes to Santa Fe on April 29 with Warholesque fame for anyone wanting to discuss their work in technology & computer science — or anything else on their minds. The hitch? Fame is compressed into a 5 minute video presentation with 20 slides rotating automatically every 15 seconds. If you can meet the challenge, Ignite is for you.
Started by Brady Forrest, Technology Evangelist for O’Reilly Media, and Bre Pettis of Etsy.com, formerly of MAKE Magazine, Ignite started in Seattle in 2006, and since then the event has become an international phenomenon, with gatherings in Helsinki, Finland; Paris, France; New York, New York; and, now, Santa Fe. (Nearby Boulder, CO is one of the successful events. There is more information about their effort, including video of their presentations, here.)
Sign-up is free. Just click on the ignite logo below to RSVP for the event.
