Innovators Forum Comes to the Complex

April 21, 2009 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

One of the greatest challenges in bringing an innovative idea to market is finding the right, high-impact people to be part of your start-up team. Todd Hand, managing partner at Talent Capital Group, a venture-backed executive search firm founded in Boston with offices in New Mexico, brings over 15 years of experience in this area to the Innovators Forum at the Complex on Tuesday, April 22 at 2:30 pm. This event is free and refreshments will be provided. Register by contacting Gail Gordon at gail@rdcnm.org, or 505-820-1226. For more information about Innovators’ Forum, or to be added to the mailing list, please contact Kim Sherwood at 505-665-1305, or ksherwood@lanl.gov.

toddhand.jpgHand has been working with venture capitalists and their management teams to find and hire “high-impact” individuals for technology and life-science start-ups since the early 1990s. Many of his clients represent technologies developed at universities and research labs. Prior to founding Talent Capital Group, Hand was Director of Talent Acquisition at idealab, where he recruited management teams for this incubator’s start-ups. He moved there from the Yankee Group, a Boston-based technology market research firm, where he ran the company’s U.S.-based recruiting department. Since 1994, Hand has worked closely with several dozen technology companies and filled hundreds of technology positions. He has committed his firm to helping the entrepreneurial community in New Mexico find and attract world-class management staff for its early stage companies. He holds a BA in industrial psychology from Penn State University.
