On Monday, February 8, 2010, at 7pm, William Fowler Collins, Berry Shadows, Stellar Om Source and Daniel Higgs will present a concert. Each of the four musicians will perform their own work and each is a talented improviser. Their collected works will provide a unique listening opportunity for the attendees.
WILLIAM FOWLER COLLINS
Originally from rural New England and now living in New Mexico, William Fowler Collins (b.1974) is a musician whose work explores and synthesizes both musical and extra-musical elements. His work has been described as a cinematic fusion of dark ambient, noise and black metal musics.
DANIEL HIGGS
The Dischord Records release “Feral Hymns,” by the 18 year ambush of a depthful punk sound by Lungfish is 1 Lp not to be missed… However, Daniel (singing member) has many solo releases including cosmic banjo ragas, honed field collages, poetic veil liftings, even small books & quality vinyl collecting his own magical alphabet.
BERRY SHADOWS
With psychedelic influences derived from psychedelic embraced moments, this new project by BrightBlack Morning Light’s N. Shineywater, tells of the intrinsic nod. Shineywater’s 2009 found him opening for the legendary reunion of My Bloody Valentine, as well as Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions. Previous notable shows include opening for Brazil’s Os Mutantes in their San Francisco debut, as well as England’s Vashti Bunyan, also in San Francisco. He’s just returning from 30 shows across Europe, including the My Bloody Valentine curation of All Tomorrow’s Parties (his 4th ATP).
STELLAR OM SOURCE
By definition: “Stellar” of or relating to the stars, “Om” a mantra consisting of the sound om & used in contemplation of ultimate reality, “Source” a firsthand document, a generative force. A visitation by Christelle Gauldi of the New York City & Netherlands regions as she journeys to the Western USA coast.
