Meet Early-Stage Investor Brad Feld

Join entrepreneur and early-stage investor Brad Feld at the Complex for “Beers with Brad.” Feld authors the popular blog Feld Thoughts and is the managing director of Foundry Group, a Boulder-based venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage information technology companies. Feld will share his views on entrepreneurship and early-stage companies in today’s environment. Northern New Mexico Connect, the principal economic development investment arm of Los Alamos National Laboratory, and its partners Coronado Ventures Forum and the New Mexico Technology Council are sponsoring this event. About Brad Feld

Feld has been an early stage investor and entrepreneur for over 20 years. He is the founder of Intensity Ventures, a company that helped launch and operate software companies, as well as the co-founder of Mobius Venture Capital and Foundry Group. Feld is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of venture capital investing and entrepreneurship.

Feld founded his own company, Feld Technologies, in 1987. Specializing in custom software applications, the company grew into one of Boston’s leading software consulting firms. Feld Technologies was ultimately acquired by AmeriData Technologies, where Feld served as chief technology officer and oversaw AmeriData’s diversification into software consulting. AmeriData is a $1.5 billion publically-traded company which was acquired by GE Capital in 1995.

Feld has been active with several non-profit organizations and currently is chairman of the National Center for Women & Information Technology.  Feld currently serves on the board of directors of Gist, Gnip, Oblong, Standing Cloud, and Zynga for Foundry Group. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
